I'm an engineering lead based in Munich. Fourteen years in the industry, the last five managing engineering teams. Currently five direct reports as Tech Lead at AutoScout24, previously up to five at CheMondis. I write production code most days; running people is the second job, not the first.
What I'm doing now
- Tech Lead at AutoScout24, leading the public GraphQL API replatforming and the squad shipping it.
- Mentoring six engineers through senior-track promotions and pairing on a seventh toward staff.
- Driving team-wide adoption of Claude Code agents: running build, scan, PR review, and migration agents across the squads I touch.
- Actively looking for engineering-lead roles. Open to both Munich and Berlin.
What I care about
Quality is observable
DORA metrics, Core Web Vitals, accessibility audits, eval sets for AI features. If the bar isn't measured, it isn't real.
Migrations, not big-bang rewrites
Most of the consequential work I've done has been incremental. Staged rollouts. Feature flags. Off-ramps. Zero-downtime is a process, not a constraint.
AI tooling, not AI theatre
Agents replace processes. Build, scan, review, migrate. Every agent has an exit code, a kill switch, and an eval set. No conversational gimmicks.
Coaching engineers up the ladder
1:1s, IDPs, performance reviews, hiring loops, calibration. The job isn't to be the smartest person in the room; it's to make the room smarter.

Tech Lead, Senior Full-Stack AutoScout24
Five direct reports. Led a strangler-fig replatforming of the public listing-search GraphQL API onto graphql-yoga + hono. Every production query shadow-diffed against the legacy service before any traffic shift. Drove a 30%+ p50 latency reduction on the most-consumed public API. Adopted Claude Code agents across squads.

Up to five direct reports. Architected the foundational frontend platform for Europe's leading B2B chemicals marketplace: component library, list/filter/search modules, payments via Stripe and Trustshare, GDPR consent. Full-loop hiring with CTO/VP sign-off.
